1929-Premières apparitions à l'écran.
13-12-1932-Épouse Ann Knox, romancière et poète. Une fille, Allison Daniell.
30-10-1963-Décédé à Santa Monica, Californie (U.S.A.), à la suite d'une crise cardiaque survenue sur le plateau de son dernier film, "My Fair Lady".
