SUJET : Leo Macias tape sur sa machine à écrire sans la moindre motivation. En l'absence de son mari, elle se sent très seule. Betty, une amie soucieuse de la distraire, la recommande à Angel, le directeur du supplément littéraire d'«El País». Leo reste un moment perplexe lorsqu'Angel lui demande de rédiger une critique d'Amanda Gris, la reine du roman à l'eau de rose. Angel ignore que Leo et Amanda Gris ne font qu'une. Leo en profite pour liquider l'auteur qu'elle ne veut plus être. Elle écrit un roman sombre et réaliste, que son éditeur refuse, allant jusqu'à la menacer d'un procès si elle ne se plie pas aux orientations très précises de la collection…
